Biography Korono Axestriker (formerly
Koron Axestriker) is a true son of Ironforge.
From an early age, he inspired to be a warrior and to defend Ironforge
from all threats. As he was coming to
age, the Dark Portal reopened & many of Azeroth’s heroes traveled to Outland
to stop the Burning Crusade. Korono
was among the ones who stayed behind initially, taking care of threats closer
to home. It was during this time he
met a Draenei named Talekkane, and together the formed the Sojin, “Hunters of
the Dark”. The Sojin, including
Korono, traveled to various ends of Azeroth taking care of any threats they
found. When a call for reinforcements
came from Outland, Korono was one of the first of a new batch of heroes to
make their way to Outland. Korono was
the first representative of the Sojin in Outland & he represented them
well, taking care of threats he found out there. But, he returned to Azeroth as well to help
the other Sojin & also had several tours of duty in Alterac Valley during
this time. When the call went out
about the formation of the Shattered Sun Offensive & the taking of the
Isle of Quel’Danas, Korono was one of the first to hit the beach in the
Offensive. He helped secured the
island while others took care of the crisis at the Sunwell. After the offensive, he returned to
Ironforge & met Anji Fa, a young Paladin in training and fell in
love. But, before the marriage could
take place, the Scourge struck. Korono
worked to defend Ironforge during the Invasion, and when the Scourge was
turned back, he joined the task force heading to Northrend to take on the
Lich King. Korono landed in Howling
Ford and was on the frontlines fighting through Northrend. He helped secure the Argent Tournament
Grounds and helped set it up. After he
had become a Champion of Ironforge, he was summoned back to Ironforge by
Talekkane. They had a falling out over
the direction of the Sojin and Korono left along with Dawyn Morningstar (who
had other reasons to leave). While
back in Ironforge, Korono married Anji Fa and changed his name to Korono (he
was Koron up to this point). Korono
returned to Northrend & participated in the Argent Tournament. It was during this time he joined Gods of
Brutality and with them, fought in the Argent Tournament, earning a spot as
one of Azeroth’s Champions for the assault on Icecrown Citadel. Once again, Korono was on the front line in
the assault on Icecrown Citadel. While
fighting in the Pit of Saron, he found a Battered Hilt that turned out to be
what was left of Quel’Delar, a mighty Elven sword. He set out and restored
the sword, carrying it in battle throughout the rest of the Northrend
Campaign (even though he prefers axes).
It was around this time a group split off from Gods of Brutality to
form Righteous Vindication, and he joined with them. As usual, Korono charged his way with
Righteous Vindication into Icecrown Citadel, and downed the Lich King. Afterwards, he joined Operation: Gnomergan,
once again on the front lines to help the Gnomes retake their homeland. Sometime later, he moved back to Ironforge
and helped with the investigation in Stormwind into cultist activity that
turned out to be the Twilight Hammer.
He then headed back to Ironforge and to try and help stabilize the
city after the recent political upheaval (and he’s not a big Moira Bronzebeard fan and vocal about it). With Deathwing’s
return bringing about a Cataclysm to all of Azeroth, Korono is consulting
with Righteous Vindication and preparing for another campaign. |

|
Personality Korono is a brash warrior, once
tending to charge in recklessly. As he
has become a more accomplished warrior, his recklessness has tempered. Let, he is always itching for a fight. He is loyal to his causes, Ironforge being
his number one loyalty. Like most
dwarves, he can be a bit quick tempered and loves his Dwarven Ale. |
